Happy Fall!

Fall is a gorgeous time of the year…leaves are changing, the weather gets cooler and the Holiday season is just around the corner! Growing up in South Dakota I learned the importance of working hard, especially in the Fall. My mother has a huge pumpkin patch and sells them! Once they start growing she turns them and pampers them. Then, once they’ve matured, they are picked, cleaned, preserved and finished.

Both of these pictures are from her pumpkin patch. They are so beautiful, they look ceramic! I have never carved mine because I love the way they look naturally but carving them would add a lot to their existing coolness! Thanks mom for teaching me how to work hard then enjoying the fruits (or pumpkins) of your labor!
